Meadows full of flowers, large forests and lush valleys are predominant in the Perigord noir. The dark woods with their oak, chestnut and fir trees were the reason to call this part of the Perigord black (noir). Enjoy the multitude of the countryside and discover some rare plants and animals.
There are a great number of footpathes and small roads where you can hike or bike.
Not far away there is a golf course (18 holes) which should allow you to improve your handicap. There are a lot of places where you can hire a canoe or a kajak to paddle along the Dordogne or the Vézère and visit some of the towns and castles. But you can also use our pool or tennis court for some private sports activities.The three bigger towns Perigeux, Sarlat and Bergerac offer everything necessary to enjoy shopping. In their narrow streets that date back to the Renaissance there are boutiques, cafés, pastry and souvenir shops. You can also visit some of the markets in the small towns close by. There are a great number of stalls that offer delicious local specialities.
